day happened to be shine-d by stars...
thank goodness..
while i msn my younger brother last night, i suddenly remembered my mum has a brand new small fridge in her utility room.. its a free gift from buying her huge fridge.. LOL.. buy fridge free fridge?? whatever..
so i called up mum and asked if the fridge is still around and if i could use it.. she said ok and asked me to send someone to pick the fridge up.. tadah... the fridge is now in my kitchen.. although the height of the fridge is shorter then me and its so much smaller then my faulty one but im sooooo glad that i dont have to fork out a lump sum to buy a new fridge..

been wanting to buy a new sofa by the end of this month.. who knows my fridge broke down yesterday.. the bottom part not cold at all... and also air con waiting to be serviced.. worse of all.. while i was cooking halfway, no gas... arghhh... anything else???

day happened to be shine-d by stars...
my big 3-0 day!!
it's been a month since my big 30 day.. held a mini celebration at home..
met peiling and raymond at AMK hub to get our sushi ingredients.. after getting our ingredients we head back to my house and start preparing.. suling ordered ebi sushi and gave me a mission to make sure the prawns doesnt curl.. well i can say i did it quite well with the help of satay sticks.. LOL...
the ingredients we prepared for our sushi feast were : prawns, crabmeat, inari, bah teng, enoki mushrooms, ebikko, japanese cucumber.......
besides preparing the ingredients for sushi i decided to make fried dumplings. i tried my best to make it look like gyoza.. haha.. and it was a hit.. the fried dumplings were finished in no time..
the fun came when we had to wrap our own sushi.. we intended to wrap the sushi into maki form but after few tries i felt it was best to wrap it like a handroll and everyone copied my idea.. hahahaha... jason filled his sushi with lots n lots of ingredients and the whole thing looked like a bah chang.. he managed to gobble the whole thing within 1minute.. scary...
after the feast we head to ktv...
thank you jason, suling, peiling, raymond, linjie and suxiang for spending the day with me.. not forgetting the very special card n gift...

my 1st time playing Wii..
Last night we hang out at Jay's room again.. this time round Suling brought along her Wii.. it was my 1st time playing it.. we had alot of fun but the most joyous n hilarious moment was watching Peiling playing it.. she was so engrossed into the game and played vigourously.. she screamed and shouted excitedly with every moments she made..
Poor Suxiang who was trying to catch some sleep on the bed was woken up a few times due to the earthquake Peiling made while playing.. LOL...
Suling, Jay and me laugh until we felt very asthmatic..
Overall it was a very fun and crazy night..

day happened to be shine-d by stars...
my babies birthdays..
my girl has turned 9..
although i can bake a simple chocolate cake but i knew she would prefer 1 with pictures of characters that she like..
i ordered a cake for her without her knowing.. then on that day itself i told her i didn't order cake, i told her we can just go to the cake shop and pick out 1 at the counter.. after dinner we headed straight to the cake shop .. i asked her which 1 she likes.. then she asked got anymore choices because those available are really nothing special.. she looked kind of disappointed.. LOL.. just then i took out the receipt and pass it to the lady.. Ta Dah... the lady brought out the carebear cake which i had ordered.. when my girl saw the cake she WOW.. hahaha.. im glad that she loves it.. we brought the cake home and waited for daddy to come back for our mini celebration...
my boy has turned 6...
he is in K2 now and that means its the last chance for him to have a celebration in school..
ordered a tazmania cake for him which he choose it himself and also prepared party bags for his little classmates.. that day came.. so daddy and me brought the stuff we had prepared to his school for the celebration.. the kids came forward to sing him birthday song and he cut his cake happily..
in the evening we went to my sister in law's house... met her at hougang mall because she wanted to buy kfc for my boy.. when we reached there we saw that the cake shop had a porcupine cake.. it looked so cute.. and i felt we had to get it.. LOL.. my greedy boy ate 2 drumsticks.. after dinner the kids went to the room to play and us adults had our 3rd mahjong session since cny.. .

unexpected x'mas gift!!
today was a busy day!!
my cousin benson wanted me to help him baked a brownie and an apple crumble for his x'mas party tomorrow.. so i went to get all the ingredients in the afternoon and headed home to start baking.. by the time he arrived my house, i have almost finished everything except waiting for the apple crumble to turn brown..
when everything was done i made him sampled the two dishes before allowing him to bring them back for his party.. LOL.. he was one of the guinea pigs when i 1st started baking these two desserts.. this time round, comments on the taste was even better then the 1st time he tried.. heehee.. practice really makes perfect!!
he bought me a bottle of 'Ralph Lauren Romance' perfume as x'mas gift.. i don't know the actual price but i think its defnitely not cheap..
it was really sweet of him because last weekend when we were out i mentioned wanting to buy perfume.. he says he known of a place near his house whereby he can get it at better prices, so i asked him to help me check out the price.. it is the 1st time he bought me a gift wor.. haha.. i really didnt expect it.. thanks bro!!

last week i was about to blog on my early arrived x'mas gift, a Coach wallet from uncle victor all the way from usa. he is someone who really dotes on me since i was young.. it has been quite sometime since he last bought me gifts.. something like that doesn't happen very often especially after i was married and with 2 kids.. i started using my new wallet happily until 2 nights ago something unpleasant happened...
2 nights ago, as usual i was on msn.. i chatted with my uncle vic's wife.. she asked whether had i started using the wallet.. i told her yes.. then out of nothing she told mi it's my husband's job to buy gifts for me.. how can i expect my uncle to buy it for me.. she say she definitely don't expect her uncle to buy gifts for her especially after married and with 2 kids.. she even gave me examples that she asked my aunty to help her buy things although my aunty say don't need to pay her back but she insist on paying.. even say its in me i should have the initiative to pay up.. if she wants me to pay her back then what for tell me it's a gift?? i would prefer her to tell me my uncle help me to buy.. if thats the case i will definitely pay back willingly..
the most angry part is when she gave it to me, my other aunties were around so they crowded in to see what is it.. she even brag that my uncle bought for me all the way from usa which she doesn't even have.. but my uncle bought her a couple of it on his previous trips already..
who in the world says married people cannot receive gifts from uncle??
who in the world says we have to pay for gifts meant for us??
told my mum about it.. she was pissed off too.. she said i should let her know that me and my uncle are connected by blood, this fact can never ever change.. she is only connected to my uncle by a piece of paper, and that can change at any time.. i am his niece and i can receive gifts from him as long as he wants to buy me..
