baking is fUn!!
I'm sooooo into baking nowadays..
a big thank you to Raymond, Jason, Suling, Peiling, Linjie and Suxiang..
thank you so much for giving me the oven and baking utensils as my birthday presents..
i really had fun baking.. from searching for recipes to preparing ingredients, from beginning to follow the steps in the recipes to sending it into the oven, from waiting patiently to see the outcome to watching the faces of my "guinea pigs" enjoying themselves eating.. LOL.. it really gives me a sense of satisfaction..
will definitely be trying out more recipes..
thanks jay for teaching me how to bake.. i hope I'm not a bad student.. haha..

day happened to be shine-d by stars...
happy bird day xiang..
we celebrated suxiang's birthday on national day eve..
this time round there were no surprises for her because she is the one who go and get her own present then she come and claim from us.. lol.. at 1st we thought maybe she will tell us what she wants then we will proceed to either get it for her or get her the voucher from the shop..
suling commented that it was the 1st time she heard people go and get their own present then claimed the money.. haha.. well actually since its what she wants and she doesn't mind then why not.. the most funniest thing is she even choose her own cake telling us which cake she wants.. its a cake topped with a lot of fruit from bengawan solo.. peiling asked me to go and get the birthday card because she is busy working.. i went to hougang mall's singpost to have a look because i remembered seeing some cards there so i just went to try my luck.. after looking around i finally chose one which has a function that can record a voice message for 6secs..
guess what did we record in the card.. haha.. raymond, suling, wuguang and me went to the carpark to record the message because xiang was already there.. after discussing, the four of us said:" TUA KA CHING, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" xiang's bum has indeed grown a lot compared to school days.. LOL..she gave us a treat at causeway point's soup restaurant.. let me recall what did we eat..
we had chicken ginseng soup(taste was strong), the restaurant's signature dish chicken with ginger sauce(was really yummy), stir fry slice fish(tasted OK), prawns in chilli crab sauce(yummy too), sambal kangkong(xiang's favourite as always) and finally ended with white fungus with red dates and longan as dessert.. wuguang and suling said that they were still hungry and said wanted to order more teasing xiang.. the bill came up $200+ i think..
after that we went to ktv as usual.. but so sad because the one at civic centre closes at 1am.. so early.. everyone started to attack xiang saying why did she choose woodlands(because its near her house), if its in town we could have stayed longer or could have easily thought of what other programs we can have.. so after we really cannot think of anywhere to go since we were at woodlands we headed back home..

day happened to be shine-d by stars...
can u believe it...
hmm... i didn't catch a wink for at least 32hrs.. wonder woman?? i doubt so.. actually wanted to catch some sleep last night.. but before i log off, Peiling log into msn.. it was so rare to see her in msn.. Raymond and me started to chat with her and discuss about the upcoming programs we have.. and guess what.. we ended up chatting till 6am.. lol.. and i was suppose to meet my aunt for her doctor's review at SGH at 9am.. so end up i didn't manage to sleep because while i was still tossing and turning in bed, the alarm rang and it was time to prepare my boy for school..
met my aunt at Outram Park and saw her face as white as a piece of blank paper.. she told me she received a call from one of her colleagues. this colleague(lai) is the same age as me.. (lai)was crying on the phone when she called.. she told my aunt half of her body suddenly cannot move.. my aunt was so worried but she was already in the train on the way to meet me so she don't know what to do.. end up she manage to get another colleague to rush down and see what's happening and also to bring (lai) to the doctor..
after my aunty's appointment we received a sms from the colleague saying she had sent (lai) to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.. so we went down to meet up and also to find out what's wrong.. we suspect could it be a stroke?? but she is so young and skinny and bubbly.. the day before, she was still flying around her work place.. hmm... so can you imagine someone as young as 29 facing such an ordeal out of a sudden.. she's a Malaysian and had no relatives in Singapore.. my aunt was the 1st one she called for help.. her room mates had left for work and she had no one to turn to.. the moment she saw my aunt she started crying even more bitterly.. i guess i can really feel what's her feelings at that moment but i might not be right of course... it's like she is feeling so helpless and finally she saw someone she can count on and someone whom she knows really cares for her that makes her burst out crying harder.. it's like a child crying for mummy's help when they had fallen..
although i don't really know her but i really feel so sad that such a thing happen to her.. when she was transferred to the ward she told us that the doctor said she had a blood clot in her brain.. i think that's what causing the problem.. before we left, she was feeling much better already. her mum and brother also rushed out from Malacca to see her.. I'm glad that they came over to look after her so that she wont feel that she is all alone here.. tomorrow my aunt is going to visit her again.. i really hope she will recover fast.. Jiayou (lai)!!
